Seek Him Fully

Hello, readers! January is almost over! Anyway, let’s get right to it.

My favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:13. God is speaking to the Israelites in this verse…

Jeremiah 29:13- You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

God wants you and me to search for Him with all our hearts, because that is when we truly find Him. And God really wants us to find Him.

For months, I had been struggling with seeking Him fully. I wanted to seek Him fully, but something was holding me back. It bugged me so much because I couldn’t figure out what it was that kept me from letting go and running to God.

Then it hit me like a purse full of bricks. I had been holding a grudge for all those months and my heart was so bitter. The Lord finally helped me realize that’s what it was. I hadn’t forgiven yet. I asked Him to help me forgive because I couldn’t do it all on my own.

He helped me! He helped me let that stupid grudge go and I forgave. Finally. That’s when I was able to get close to God and seek Him with my whole heart.

Readers, if you are having a hard time with finding God, then perhaps it’s because you aren’t seeking Him with YOUR WHOLE heart. Or because you haven’t let something go. Ask the Lord to help you with that. He will. Stay in the Word. Don’t stop seeking. Do. Not. Stop. Okay? Got it? Good. I hope and pray that this little devotion was helpful. God bless you.

Have y’all seen The Greatest Showman yet? If you haven’t, GO SEE IT RIGHT NOW!!! It’s so worth seeing, trust me. It’s now my favorite movie 🙂

Have a joyful weekend!
